What Paisley Southeast residents tell me
Local residents feel they are being ignored, basically they think their existing councillors are not doing enough and they expect more to be done.
The issues are speeding in the community, the state of the roads, schools and education, community safety, support for hard-working families, the elderly, frail, and vulnerable. Housing, planning and the greenbelt, place for youngsters to go, jobs and apprenticeships, transport and parking and you guessed it - Council Tax.
I've told residents on the door and on my literature, that this election should be about voting for Councillors you feel will make a difference. - I want to try to MAKE THAT DIFFERENCE. - "So put me to the test". - You can read below what my priorities will be for Paisley Southeast ward. - If you vote for me on the 5th MAY.
Roads & Highways
The roads throughout the ward are in a terrible state particularly in Glenburn. I'll make repairs a priority issue.
Community Groups
I'll work with residents to ensure, the Council listens to and acts upon the concerns of Paisley Southeast Ward.
New Homes
From social housing, to community projects. We need more affordable homes in the town and the borough.
Community Safety
Anti-social behaviour is a problem in most places and wherever I'm alerted to it, I'll take action against it.

Jobs & Apprenticeships
I'll work with the Council, local businesses to find new ways to create local jobs and apprenticeships.
Greenbelt
I'll protect our greenbelt and make sure developments like Dykebar and Thornly Park Campus are never successful.

Jim is doing it with the RAI and he has promised to address issues that are a worry for me, my family and many other residents. He's done it before elswhere, so I'm prepared to take him at his word. - He's got our votes.

I was impressed by Jim, by what I heard on the door and his determination to make a difference. - He can't do any worse than the representatives we have now, who I'm dissapointed with. - I'm prepared to give him a chance.

I believe councillors should have a maximum of two terms and this lot have had their day. I'm not usually a Conservative voter but this time I'm voting for a person I believe will ge the job done. - I'll be voting for Jim!.

I cant understand what we havent had a conservative councillor in this ward. I've spoken to Jim on a couple of occasions, he's friendly and approachable and he'll have our votes on the 5th of MAY!.
